The `Irfán Colloquium is a friendly gathering held in an informal and collegial atmosphere, which provides a unique opportunity for meeting and associating with those interested in systematic Bahá’í studies. The beautiful surroundings of the Acuto Centre are a restful and refreshing environment for the participants. The Colloquium program includes presentations by scholars from different countries on systematic studies in fundamental principles of Bahá’í beliefs, the Writings of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith, and the interface between the Bahá’í Faith and current intellectual and religious trends. On the occasion of the Bicentennial Celebrations of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh and the Hundred and Fiftieth anniversary of His arrival in the Holy Land, the program also includes presentations related to those historic events. Participants of the `Irfán Colloquium receive a free set of recent `Irfán publications. The program starts in the evening on Tuesday July 3, and ends after dinner on July 6, 2018.
Topics of the presentations include: Bahá’u’lláh’s arrival in the Holy Land – 1868, Writings of Bahá’u’lláh in early Akka period, Bahá’u’lláh in Iran, Bahá’u’lláh’s Tablets to the Baha’is of Milan, The station and position of the Báb in the Bahá’í Writings, The relationship between Bábí and Bahá’í Religions, A Short Persian Tablet by the Master, The Fall of Ottoman Empire as envisaged by the Supreme Pen, Catholic orthodoxy and Bahá’í theology, Manifestation of Bahá’u’lláh and the Birth of a New Civilization, The first 100 years of Bahá’í presence in the Holy Land, The power of virtuous economic choice, Bahá’u’lláh’s revelation and emergence of a world civilization.
